IMDb has just unveiled its list of the most anticipated Indian films for 2026, and Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming project King sits firmly at the top. The list, compiled from the page views of over 250 million monthly visitors worldwide, highlights the movies generating the most buzz among audiences.

Hindi Films Dominate the Top 20 List

The ranking features a diverse mix of Indian cinema. Out of the twenty films, ten come from Hindi cinema, five from Telugu, three from Tamil, and one each from Malayalam and Kannada. This distribution shows the widespread excitement across different film industries in the country.

King marks Shah Rukh Khan's return to the big screen after a three-year gap. His last appearance was in the 2023 film Dunki. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the movie also stars Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, and SRK's daughter Suhana Khan in key roles.

Ramayana and Jana Nayagan Secure High Positions

Several other Bollywood heavyweights have films on the list. Salman Khan's Battle of Galwan ranks sixth, while Alia Bhatt's Alpha comes in seventh. Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2 holds the eighth spot, and the multi-starrer Border 2 with Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty is ninth.

The Tamil film LIK: Love Insurance Kompany, featuring Pradeep Ranganathan, rounds out the top ten as the tenth most anticipated film.

Prabhas makes another appearance with Fauzi at number eleven. Telugu cinema shows strong representation with The Paradise (12th), Peddi (13th), and Dragon (14th).

Bollywood power couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor each have two films on the list. Their collaboration Love and War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is the fifteenth most anticipated. Akshay Kumar's Bhooth Bangla follows at sixteenth.
