Vihaan Kohli Navigates Production Challenges in 20-Day Film Shoot
Vihaan Kohli, the son of well-known producer duo Binaiferr and Sanjay Kohli, has taken on production duties for Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! Fun on the Run. This film adapts the beloved sitcom into a cinematic experience. The project features a star-studded cast including Ravi Kishan, Shubhangi Atre, Aasif Sheikh, Vidisha Srivastava, and Rohitashv Gour.
Executed on a tight schedule and a modest budget, efficiency became the cornerstone of the entire filmmaking process. Vihaan Kohli emphasizes that the rapid pace never compromised the film's visual appeal. He explains the ambitious scope of the production.
A Visually Rich Film on a Modest Budget
The Bhabiji film was completed in under twenty days, yet it avoids looking rushed or cheap. The team filmed at a new location every single day. They captured scenes in the picturesque valleys of Dehradun, staged exciting road chase sequences, and utilized beautiful cafés, hotels, and even a large mansion.
Vihaan points out the impressive result. "We made this on a very modest budget, but visually it looks like a forty to fifty crore film," he states proudly. This achievement highlights the team's skill and dedication.
Confidence Meets Unpredictable Challenges
Looking back, Vihaan shares that the team entered the shoot feeling well-prepared and confident. They understood the show's DNA and had a fantastic crew across all departments. However, outdoor shoots always carry an element of unpredictability.
"Until the shoot began, everything was a breeze," he recalls. "But some circumstances are simply beyond your control." The production faced its first major setback almost immediately.
Weather Woes Halt Production Early On
On the second day of filming, disaster struck. Vihaan woke up to a distressing video call from his executive producer. The team was scheduled to shoot a crucial interval sequence, but heavy rain had created impossible conditions.
Visibility dropped to barely three feet, and flooding forced a complete shutdown. With around two hundred to two hundred fifty crew members sitting idle, it was a devastating blow. "That was one of our worst days, especially because it happened on day two," Vihaan admits.
A Near-Miss Accident with Ravi Kishan
The very next day brought another frightening challenge. While filming in a forest area filled with dead trees, a large log suddenly fell. It scraped the arm of actor Ravi Kishan, who was sitting with other artists at the time.
Vihaan reflects on the gravity of the moment. "If it had fallen slightly to the left or right, something very unfortunate could have happened. I'm extremely grateful to God that it didn't," he says, acknowledging the close call.
Team Spirit Saves the Tight Schedule
Losing a day in an already compressed twenty-day schedule was a significant setback. Every hour counted. Yet, the collective resolve of the entire unit proved stronger than the obstacles.
"The entire team came together," Vihaan explains. "We sacrificed one of the breaks, and everyone wanted to continue and finish the film." He expresses deep gratitude to all the technicians and crew for their unwavering commitment under pressure.
Their teamwork ensured the film stayed on track, delivering a product that belies its short shooting timeline and limited budget.
