Akshay Kumar's latest comedy film 'Welcome to the Jungle' has crossed the Rs 30 crore mark at the domestic box office in its opening weekend. The movie, directed by Ahmed Khan, earned an estimated Rs 10.5 crore on its third day (Saturday), taking its total collection to Rs 31.2 crore. According to early estimates from trade analysts, the film witnessed a significant jump in occupancy on Saturday compared to its Friday opening.
Saturday Performance of Welcome to the Jungle
The Saturday collection of 'Welcome to the Jungle' saw a 20% increase from its Friday opening of Rs 8.75 crore. The film benefited from positive word-of-mouth and strong performances in multiplexes across metropolitan cities. The movie's weekend total now stands at Rs 31.2 crore, with Sunday expected to add another Rs 12-13 crore, potentially taking the opening weekend to over Rs 43 crore.
Cocktail 2 and Maa Inti Bangaaram Saturday Collections
Meanwhile, the romantic drama 'Cocktail 2', starring Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone, collected Rs 6.5 crore on its second Saturday, bringing its total to Rs 97.3 crore. The film is expected to cross the Rs 100 crore mark on Sunday. On the other hand, the Telugu film 'Maa Inti Bangaaram' starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, earned Rs 3.2 crore on Saturday, taking its total to Rs 18.6 crore. The film has been performing well in the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana regions.

According to box office analyst Taran Adarsh, 'Welcome to the Jungle' has received a positive response from audiences, especially in the mass circuits. He stated, "The film's performance on Saturday indicates strong hold, and with no major competition in the coming week, it is poised for a healthy run." The film's production budget is estimated at Rs 80 crore, and it needs to sustain momentum to recover costs.

The success of 'Welcome to the Jungle' is crucial for Akshay Kumar, who had a mixed run at the box office in 2025.
