Dhurandhar 2 Release Date Set for March 19, 2026; Clash with Yash's Toxic Looms
Dhurandhar 2 Release Date Announced for Eid 2026

The blockbuster success of Ranveer Singh's spy-action thriller 'Dhurandhar' has paved the way for its highly anticipated sequel. The filmmakers have officially announced that 'Dhurandhar 2' will hit the silver screens on 19 March 2026. This strategic date coincides with the festive period of Eid, Ugadi, and Gudi Padwa, aiming to maximise its box office potential.

Major Box Office Clash on the Cards

This high-profile release sets the stage for a significant box office showdown. 'Dhurandhar 2' will directly clash with Kannada superstar Yash's much-awaited film, 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups'. Initially, Ajay Devgn's 'Dhamaal 4' was also scheduled for an Eid release. However, according to a report by Hungama Express, its makers decided to shift their date to avoid the impending multi-starrer box office war.

Film trade analyst Sumit Kadel highlighted the franchise's monumental success on social media platform X. He stated, "#Dhurandhar is on course to become the MOST SUCCESSFUL franchise in Indian cinema, with both parts eyeing ₹1,000 Cr+ worldwide- ₹2,000 Cr+ combined."

Unstoppable Box Office Run of Dhurandhar

The announcement comes on the back of the first film's phenomenal commercial performance. Directed by Aditya Dhar, 'Dhurandhar' has proven to be a juggernaut at the ticket windows. The film's domestic net collection stands at an impressive ₹462.29 crore.

Its box office journey has been remarkable:

  • First Week Net: ₹207.25 crore

  • Day 14 Collection: ₹23.25 crore net

Globally, the film has grossed a massive ₹710.5 crore, with ₹158 crore coming from the overseas market alone. This makes it Ranveer Singh's highest-grossing film after 'Padmaavat', cementing its status as a colossal blockbuster.
