Now You See Me 3 Opens Strong at Global Box Office

In a spectacular display of cinematic magic, Lionsgate's latest illusionist-heist film, 'Now You See Me: Now You Don't,' has conjured a powerful opening at the worldwide box office. The third instalment in the popular franchise has made an emphatic return, nearly a decade after its predecessor, proving the audience's appetite for the Four Horsemen is stronger than ever.

Global Box Office Domination

Led by Jesse Eisenberg, the film opened at the coveted No. 1 position globally, pulling in an impressive $75.5 million. This robust start demonstrates the franchise's enduring appeal and has surpassed many industry forecasts, especially in key international markets.

The international performance was particularly staggering, with the film amassing $54.2 million across 64 territories. China led the overseas charge with a massive $19.2 million opening, reaffirming its status as the franchise's most enthusiastic market.

Strong Footprint in Asia and Europe

Following China, other key Asian and European markets showed remarkable strength. South Korea emerged as a dynamic territory, contributing $3.9 million. According to the official box office tracking service KOBIS, the film debuted at No. 1 in the country, generating $2.8 million from 435,288 admissions between November 12 and 16.

It screened across 1,352 screens, commanding a dominant 49.31% revenue share. To date, including previews, it has accumulated $3.8 million in South Korea. This strong debut reflects the franchise's sustained appeal, even against local competition.

In Europe, France contributed a solid $3.5 million, while the United Kingdom added $3.2 million. These figures position the sequel for a healthy international run, especially considering its production budget of $90 million.

A New Chapter for the Franchise

'Now You See Me: Now You Don't' marks a fresh start for the series, directed by Ruben Fleischer. While the film retains its core ensemble—Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, and Morgan Freeman—it also welcomes new faces like Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, Ariana Greenblatt, and Rosamund Pike.

This chapter is also notable as the first produced without Michael Caine, who retired before filming began. Premiering in the Netherlands on November 11, 2025, before its wide U.S. release on November 14, the film has drawn a largely positive critical response, with many reviewers considering it an improvement on the second instalment.

The early commercial success suggests Lionsgate has successfully revived interest in the magician-heist series. With a sequel reportedly already in development, the 'Now You See Me' franchise looks set to continue its box office magic for years to come.
