Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor's sports drama 'Peddi' entered its third week in theatres with an updated version featuring additional footage. The makers introduced new scenes to enhance the theatrical experience, but the move did not provide an immediate boost to box office collections.
Day 15 Collections Witness a Decline
Despite the added content, 'Peddi' registered another drop at the box office on its 15th day. According to trade estimates from Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 2 crore net in India on its third Thursday. This represents an 18.4% decline compared to the Rs 2.45 crore net earned on the previous day. The film was screened across 3,769 shows on Day 15.
Earlier, 'Peddi' posted a strong opening week total of Rs 193.55 crore. Its second-week collection stood at Rs 34.45 crore.
Worldwide Total Climbs Past Rs 322 Crore
With the latest figures, 'Peddi's total India net collection has reached Rs 228 crore, while its India gross collection currently stands at Rs 270.05 crore. In overseas markets, the Ram Charan starrer added Rs 15 lakhs on Day 15, pushing its international gross total to Rs 52.60 crore. Consequently, the film's worldwide gross collection has now touched Rs 322.65 crore.
Occupancy levels remained moderate on Thursday. The Telugu version recorded an overall occupancy of 16.88%, while the Hindi version registered an overall occupancy of 11.21%.
Andhra Pradesh and Telangana continued to lead the revenue chart, contributing Rs 1.65 crore gross on Day 15. Karnataka followed with Rs 25 lakhs gross, while Tamil Nadu added Rs 8 lakhs. The Rest of India market generated Rs 32 lakhs gross. Overall, the film's Day 15 gross collection stood at Rs 2.30 crore across all regions.
Makers Announce Additional Footage
The production team officially confirmed the inclusion of the new scenes through social media. Their tweet read, "The #Peddi experience gets better 5 mins 56 seconds of new scenes will be added from tomorrow in theatres."
