Agartala: A total of 476 trained constables, including 318 women, were formally inducted into the Tripura Police force on Thursday after completing their training. The event marked one of the largest inclusions of women personnel in the state police force in recent years.

CM Highlights Women Empowerment

Addressing the passing out ceremony at KTD Singh Police Training Academy, Chief Minister Manik Saha highlighted the substantial induction of women constables as a testament to the BJP government’s unwavering commitment to women’s empowerment and inclusive development in Tripura. He said the increased participation of women in the police force will enhance public confidence and contribute to a more community-oriented policing approach across the state.

“The event marks a significant milestone for the state’s law enforcement and women's empowerment initiatives,” he said. The CM also emphasized the government’s dedication to establishing a modern, disciplined, and people-friendly policing system focused on integrity, courage, and compassion in serving society.

Role of Police in Society

Saha stressed the crucial role of the police force in maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety and security of citizens. Tripura Director General of Police Anurag also delivered an address during the ceremony, congratulating the newly inducted constables on completing their rigorous training.

Both the CM and the DGP extended their best wishes to all the new constables, expressing hope that they will uphold the values of discipline, dedication, and public service to safeguard society and maintain peace and harmony across the state.
