Bespoke Ruby Wedding Bands Steal the Spotlight
Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt have drawn attention not only for their intimate wedding but also for their matching custom-made ruby wedding rings. The bands, crafted by luxury jewellery brand QWEEN, feature an exceptionally rare Madagascar ruby at the centre of Gauri's ring. According to the brand, fewer than 0.1 per cent of natural rubies meet the quality standards of this gemstone.
Craftsmanship Spanning Over 256 Hours
The creation of the rings required more than three months to source the ruby and over 256 hours of meticulous craftsmanship. QWEEN stated that 131 pairs of skilled artisans' hands were involved, from the initial design to the final finishing. The result is a deeply personal symbol of the couple's union.
A Love Story Told Through Jewels
The wedding ring completes a narrative that began months before the marriage. In March 2026, Gauri was seen wearing a bespoke aquamarine ring, reportedly gifted by Aamir and privately commissioned from QWEEN ahead of the brand's official launch. That piece featured a Brazilian aquamarine surrounded by 40 natural diamonds.
Aamir Khan's Dual Role: Customer and Investor
Aamir Khan's association with QWEEN extends beyond being a customer. He is also a strategic investor in the luxury jewellery label, which is backed by Rosy Blue and Kashikey. He became the brand's first customer by commissioning Gauri's aquamarine ring and later returned to create the couple's custom wedding bands.
QWEEN Co-founder and CEO Amit Kumar said, "We believe a jewel should hold the emotion of the person it is created for. This ruby ring was designed as a deeply personal piece for Gauri—rare, natural and meaningful. To be chosen for a moment as intimate as a wedding is a very special expression of trust in the brand."
