Alec Baldwin, known for his role in 'Mission: Impossible: Rogue Nation,' has extensive parenting experience, sharing seven children with his wife, Hilaria Baldwin. In a recent interview, he opened up about his life as a father and the values he aims to instill in his kids.
Alec Baldwin on Fatherhood
Baldwin attended the premiere of 'Gaslit' on June 12, where he spoke with E! News. When asked about his children, he couldn't stop gushing about them. He revealed that he strives to instill hope in his children's minds as a core parenting principle. 'I want my kids to grow up having hope because right now it's more hopeless than I've ever seen,' he said.
He also emphasized the importance of teaching children to keep fighting and never give up, regardless of circumstances. 'We've got to continue to fight to prove to our children that you got to keep fighting. You got to have hope, and you got to keep fighting to take the reins of power in our society, and that responsibility—that awesome responsibility—away from people who are going to abuse it,' Baldwin added.
Alec Baldwin's Eight Children
Baldwin has a total of eight children. His eldest daughter, Ireland (30), is from his previous marriage to Kim Basinger. With Hilaria, he has seven children: Carmen (12), Rafael (10), Leonardo (9), Romeo (8), Eduardo (5), Maria Lucia (5), and Ilaria (3).
During the interview, Baldwin joked about his children pushing his wheelchair when he is old. 'I want you guys to work out and get strong because you're going to be pushing the old man in my chair before long,' he quipped.
Over the years, Baldwin has been candid about the challenges of being an older father and has expressed a desire for more time with his children.
