Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has maintained a cherished tradition of meeting fans outside his residence, Jalsa, during Sunday meet-and-greet sessions for over 42 years. Recently, as Bachchan shared images from his latest weekly gathering, he expressed heartfelt gratitude and revealed the instructions he has given to his security personnel. He emphasized that he has directed his security staff to treat fans with utmost respect and kindness.
Bachchan's Reflections on the Weekly Ritual
Sharing glimpses of the ritual on his blog, the legendary actor wrote, "This is my pride and my honour to have the blessings of the many… they make me believe… they make me breathe another day… they provoke me to work harder and to deliver… they are my Ef… my extended family."
Instructions to Security Personnel
In the photos, Bachchan is seen interacting with his security team, explaining how fans should be treated. He expressed in Hindi, "I also spoke to the security, so that they know how to behave with the well-wishers. How they react to the public will reflect how the public thinks that it is my own nature of treating them!"
Gratitude Towards Fans
Expressing gratitude towards fans who wait for hours just to catch a glimpse of him, Bachchan further wrote, "In this heat, they have been waiting for hours to get a glimpse and that is no small thing. After that, to not behave well with them, that is not okay. The public is our god. Love, respect and goodwill towards them, that’s all they want. They give us so much, and we need to mirror the same love and respect."
