Actress Ashu Reddy Probed in ₹9.35 Crore Fraud Case
Ashu Reddy Investigated for ₹9.35 Crore Fraud

Actress Ashu Reddy and her family are under investigation by the Hyderabad City Central Crime Station following a complaint alleging a ₹9.35 crore fraud. The case was filed on April 20, 2026, by Shaikpet resident Yenumula Satyanarayana.

He alleged that his son, Y V Dharmendra, a London-based software engineer, met Reddy in 2018 and entered a relationship based on marriage assurances. Over the following years, Dharmendra reportedly provided substantial financial support for Reddy’s personal expenses and assets like gold, vehicles, and real estate. The complaint claims the family used the marriage promise to obtain these funds but subsequently failed to fulfill the commitment.

The Allegations

  • The complainant alleges that repeated assurances of marriage were used to secure continued financial transfers over several years.
  • It is claimed that assets funded by Dharmendra, including property, vehicles and gold, were registered solely in Ashu Reddy’s name.
  • The complaint alleges that ₹50 lakh was additionally transferred to Reddy’s sister during the course of the association.
  • Despite discussions around formalising the relationship, the marriage did not take place, and the complainant alleges that requests for repayment were not honoured.
  • The complainant alleges that communication ceased after mid-2025, following which the family approached the police.

Ashu Reddy Denies Allegations

In a statement shared on Instagram on Sunday, the actor denied the allegations, saying, “I would like to clarify that false information is being circulated without my consent. I strongly deny the allegations being made against me. I will be taking strict legal action against anyone spreading misleading or unverified reports.”
