Barry Keoghan has finally broken his silence on the scandalous rumours that he cheated on his ex-girlfriend Sabrina Carpenter. The actor, known for his role in 'The Beatles' biopic, spoke candidly about the controversy on the podcast 'Friends Keep Secrets', hosted by Benny Blanco.
Keoghan Denies Cheating Allegations
During the conversation, Keoghan firmly denied the viral rumours alleging infidelity. He called the speculation "not true" and explained that a narrative had been created without any basis. "There was a narrative out there that was never really sort of even spoken on... a narrative that's not true... and I never confirmed or said anything about it. And I just disappeared," he said.
When directly asked about the cheating allegations, Keoghan acknowledged the nature of the rumours, stating, "Yeah, that I cheated," while maintaining that the claims were unfounded. According to the actor, the rumours were amplified by a video posted by a woman, who later admitted that the claims were 'fabricated'. Influencer Breckie Hill also addressed the controversy, denying any involvement.
Barry and Sabrina's Romance
Keoghan and Carpenter had previously made headlines when they appeared together in the singer's 'Please Please Please' music video, where he played her on-screen love interest. Their collaboration sparked buzz among fans before rumours about their relationship began circulating online.
Barry Keoghan's Upcoming Film
On the work front, Barry Keoghan is set to play the role of Ringo Starr in Sam Mendes' upcoming series of four Beatles biopics. The films, set for release in 2028, will reportedly offer four distinct perspectives from the band members. Keoghan will star alongside Paul Mescal, Joseph Quinn, and Harris Dickinson. The film will also feature Indian actor Farhan Akhtar.
