Dianna Russini, a prominent sports journalist, recently found herself at the center of online speculation following a resurfaced video from the game show Family Feud. The controversy began when Russini shared a wedding photo with her husband, Kevin Goldschmidt, on their second anniversary in 2022. Her caption read: "2 years today was the best day of my life---when I married Kev in front of our family and dozens of friends over Zoom! It’s you and only you, for me, forever. 9-26-20. Apparently, a baby for every year of marriage, too. As my mother likes to yell at us, ‘You two need to stay away from each other, don’t even look in the same direction! Enough with the babies!’" The caption was interpreted by some as revealing intimate details about their bedroom life.
However, another detail has recently come to light. In a Barstool Sports version of Steve Harvey’s Family Feud, host asked contestants, "What is something you might close your eyes to do?" Russini responded, "When you have sex with your husband or wife." The game included several "dudes," including Mike Vrabel, the Tennessee Titans head coach. When Russini gave her answer, Vrabel reportedly nodded his head sideways in dismissal, which could be interpreted as rejecting the idea or indicating something else.
This has led to speculation that Russini's answer might have been about her own relationship, but the timeline suggests otherwise. According to the Daily Mail, the Family Feud video was released in April 2020, months before Russini and Goldschmidt got engaged in July 2020 and married in September 2020. At the time of the video, they were likely just dating. The U.S. Sun reported that the couple started dating in 2015 but kept their relationship secret until their engagement.
Furthermore, Page Six reported that in March 2020, just a month before the Family Feud video, Russini was seen kissing Mike Vrabel at a New York City club. Vrabel has been married to his wife Jen for 25 years. This has fueled speculation that Russini's answer might have been about her relationship with Vrabel, or perhaps about a friend's marriage, rather than her own. The dismissal by Vrabel could have been a reaction to that.
Despite the backlash, it is clear that the answer may not have been about Russini's personal life at all. The question was about a spouse, and at the time, she was not married. The speculation remains just that—speculation. As of now, Russini continues her work as an NFL reporter, and her marriage to Goldschmidt appears strong.
