Television actress Dipika Kakar recently shared a health update with her fans, revealing that she has been diagnosed with a viral infection and is still recovering from its effects. The actress also disclosed that her son, Ruhaan, has been battling a high fever, making the past few days difficult for the family.
Dipika's Viral Infection After Immunotherapy
In her latest vlog, Dipika explained why she had not been able to shoot much content recently. Sharing details about her condition, she said that after undergoing immunotherapy, she caught a viral infection, which led to a cold, cough, weakness and severe back pain.
“Once I caught the viral infection, it led to a cold, cough, weakness and a lot of back pain. I still have a cold and cough, but every day I am improving,” she shared. Dipika also revealed that she has been experiencing hot flashes and has been relying on a fan placed beside her to stay comfortable.
Father-in-Law's Health Improves
The actress went on to share a positive update about her father-in-law, who has been hospitalised. “Papa, Alhamdulillah, is much better than before. You all must already be getting updates through Shoaib’s vlogs. In fact, today’s vlog also showed when Ammi went to meet Papa. So he is much, much, much better. That’s a big relief for all of us,” she said.
Impact on Son Ruhaan
Dipika further revealed that the sudden change at home has affected little Ruhaan emotionally. With family members spending time at the hospital and away from home, she noticed a change in her son’s behaviour.
“The house suddenly became empty, and that has affected all of us, including Ruhaan. He cannot express it verbally, but he has become a little irritable. Earlier, during the evenings, he would go to Papa’s room, have fun with him, watch television and spend time with Dev bhaiya. Now he doesn’t see them around, and that has made him quite cranky,” she explained.
Because of this, Dipika said she has taken Ruhaan to meet Shoaib and other family members several times so that he can feel more connected and comfortable during this period.
Mother's Support
The actress also credited her mother for helping the family manage everything amid the health challenges. “Without a doubt, my mom has been my biggest rock support,” she said.
