Terence Lewis, one of India's most celebrated choreographers and a familiar face on popular dance reality shows, recently opened the doors of his Bandra home to filmmaker Farah Khan on her YouTube channel. The tour revealed a residence filled with eclectic and artistic elements, from a throne-like toilet seat and a Jaipur-sourced vintage door to a tree bark incorporated into the living room.
Farah Khan Stunned by Terence's Home
The video began with Farah Khan and her cook Dilip visiting Terence's house. As soon as the choreographer opened the door, Farah was visibly impressed by the interiors. The Main Hoon Na director exclaimed, 'My God Terence! I love your house.'
Living Room: A Blend of Elegance and Nature
The house features an elegant main entrance adorned with stylish metal details. A corridor leads from the entrance into the living room, which boasts a spacious layout with a comfortable sofa and a grand black piano. A unique feature is a tree bark incorporated into the center of the room, adding a natural touch. The cozy dining area completes the space, making it anything but ordinary.
Jaipur Vintage Door and Black Piano
Apart from the eye-catching black piano, the living room showcases a vintage door sourced from Jaipur with the help of Ishitta Arun. The door features intricate carvings and a vintage charm that enhances the space. It is paired with horizontal metal rods where the choreographer has placed candles, creating a warm glow and a church-like ambiance.
Huge Balcony with Spiritual Elements
Terence revealed that Ishita Arun helped him set up the house 15 years ago, and he has managed to maintain everything. Connecting to the vintage door is a large balcony beautifully decorated with plants and flowers. It also features a statue of Mother Mary, which enhances the peaceful and spiritual atmosphere.
Washroom with a Throne-Like Chair
One of the most talked-about corners of the house is the toilet, which features a throne inside. Terence revealed it was inspired by Spanish artist Salvador Dali. The washroom has a unique basin inspired by Dali's famous melting clocks. Instead of a regular toilet seat, there is a throne-like chair that covers the commode. Terence showed Farah how to lift the seat to use the toilet, but she jokingly sat on the throne and posed. A chandelier adds to the charm of the space.
Study Room and Kitchen
The house also includes a study room with lime-washed walls, dark yet cozy sofas, and a television. It has a blackboard where Terence had been jotting down ideas and plans for starting his YouTube journey. The kitchen stands out with its yellow decor and floral blue curtain. However, Farah was especially surprised to see a chandelier creatively designed using pots and pans.
