Jane McDonald Shares Update on Home Life with Best Friend
Jane McDonald, the beloved television personality and singer known for her appearances on Loose Women and her cabaret-style performances, has provided an update on her living arrangements. The 63-year-old star, who rose to fame as a cruise ship singer, now resides with her best friend Sue Ravey. During an appearance on ITV's Lorraine on Friday, May 29, Jane discussed their unique setup with host Lorraine Kelly.
Jane explained, "Everybody needs a Sue and everybody loves Sue and everybody wants to live with Sue." When Lorraine remarked, "But you've got her!", Jane elaborated on their arrangement: "It's great, it works. We're not joined at the hip. She's got her friends, I've got mine, but we have such a laugh together. It's great, it really is." Sue Ravey has previously appeared alongside Jane on Celebrity Gogglebox.

In the same interview, Jane shared exciting career news about her upcoming tour. The singer is set to embark on her 'Living the Dream' tour across the UK this August. The tour follows her recent trip to Nashville, where she recorded her latest album. Jane described the experience to Lorraine as "just the most amazing experience."

Jane's trip to Nashville was featured in a two-part documentary that aired on Channel 5 last month. During a clip shown on Lorraine, Jane became emotional as she admitted to always being "the underdog" and opened up about her career "struggles." She was seen at the iconic Blackbird Studio, "where my country music dreams are being made," recording her latest album while the team helped perfect her "country sound."
Jane confessed in the documentary: "Today the musicians, the engineers and the producers are mixing the songs. This is the part of the process where it all comes together and I'm not going to lie, it's all a bit nerve-wracking."
Jane McDonald's Emotional Moment in the Studio
Later, Jane broke down in tears as she listened to her track and the team applauded. She shared, "It's blown my mind a little bit really. When I started here I thought 'what am I doing?'" She added, "I've always felt my heart is in country as I'm a story teller. And when I write songs I write a story and this is my story."
