Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut has drawn a parallel between the criticism faced by Ranveer Singh and the challenges she encountered during her own career, asserting that she has already endured much harsher scrutiny, legal battles, and media exclusion. In a recent interview with Fever FM, Kangana was questioned about her support for Ranveer and her earlier remark that as a person's stature grows, so do their enemies.
‘I Was the First One to Be Banned’
Responding to whether she had experienced something similar herself, Kangana stated, “Yeah, of course. I was the first one to be banned by... you know what? They put cases on me. They tried to frame me legally. They tried to put me in jail.” Recalling that phase of her life, she added, “At one point, I had so many cases on me that my lawyer was all the time attending dates and dates and it's peshiyan hi peshiyan.” The actress further claimed that she was sidelined by sections of the media. “And uske baad mein I was banned by the media. It was a big ban by the media,” she said.

Kangana suggested that these experiences made her resilient to criticism and controversy. “Main toh guru hoon,” she said with a laugh, before adding, “I would say mujhe toh itna ban kiya gaya for years.” Referring to the criticism that successful public figures often face, she remarked, “So now woh mujhe toh abhi bhi yeh sab bachchon ka khel lagta hai.”
On Balancing Acting and Politics
Elsewhere in the conversation, Kangana also opened up about managing her responsibilities as both an actor and a politician. “No, it is overwhelming at times. It feels like I have taken too much on my platter, more than I can handle,” she admitted. However, she said pushing herself has always been a part of her personality. “But it is what it is. Whether filmmaking ho, writing ho, hamesha I have tried to test myself, push myself.” Explaining her outlook, Kangana added, “If you're gonna push yourself, there is an opportunity for growth. If you don't want to push yourself, there is a bit of thahraav and you can enjoy a bit of stability. Toh har ek cheez ka apna-apna drawbacks hai.”
