Khalilah Ali Reveals Pain of Muhammad Ali's Affairs and Posthumous Paternity Claims
Khalilah Ali Speaks Out on Ali's Affairs and Paternity Claims

Khalilah Ali, the second wife of boxing legend Muhammad Ali, has opened up about the painful chapters of her marriage and the controversies that followed his death. Nearly a decade after the heavyweight icon passed away in 2016, Khalilah has spoken about the women who claimed their children were fathered by Ali and the disputes surrounding his multimillion-pound estate. She believes several individuals tried to link themselves to the boxing great in hopes of gaining financial benefits and insists that many of those claims were never proven through proper testing.

The former wife of the three-time world heavyweight champion also reflected on the heartbreak caused by Ali's affairs during their nine-year marriage. Khalilah, who shared four children with the boxer, said his growing fame eventually changed their relationship. While she remained close to Ali after their divorce, she maintains that the family conflicts and inheritance issues that emerged after his death were far removed from the values he once held. Her comments have reignited interest in the personal struggles behind one of sport's most celebrated figures.

Khalilah Ali Speaks Out on Paternity Claims and Family Tensions

Khalilah Ali, now 76, was married to Muhammad Ali from 1967 until 1976 and witnessed both the highs of his boxing career and the difficulties in his personal life. She told The Sun that several women who had relationships with the boxing star later alleged that their children were his. According to her, she repeatedly encouraged paternity testing to establish the truth.

Khalilah said she believed some women may have attempted to connect their children to Ali because of his fame and wealth. She explained that while some claims were tested and disproved, other individuals never completed the process. In her view, many accusations remained unsupported by evidence.

The former actress also spoke about the strain caused by Ali's relationships outside their marriage. She recalled that his increasing celebrity status appeared to influence his behaviour and created growing distance between them. The situation became even more painful when Ali publicly acknowledged a child with another woman while still married to her. That moment convinced Khalilah that it was time to end the marriage.

She also addressed claims from men who later came forward saying they were Ali's sons. Khalilah stated that none of those individuals proved their connection through testing and maintained that Ali's only biological son was Muhammad Ali Jr.

Disappointment Over Family Divisions After Ali's Death

Beyond the paternity disputes, Khalilah expressed disappointment over family divisions after Ali's death. She believes the boxing legend always valued family relationships and would have wanted relatives to remain united. Despite the challenges, she said she still remembers Ali as a man who cared deeply for those closest to him, even as fame and personal choices complicated many aspects of his life.
