Kris Jenner has successfully obtained a restraining order against a man accused of stalking her family. The 70-year-old matriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, along with her children Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Kylie, Kendall, and Rob, were granted protection from Kyle Robert DeWick following his repeated attempts to gain access to the family. According to reports, DeWick made five attempts to enter the home of 28-year-old Kylie Jenner, which ultimately led to his arrest.
Terms of the Restraining Order
Under the terms of the restraining order, granted on a Friday morning, DeWick is prohibited from contacting any member of the family. He must also stay at least 100 yards away from their homes, workplaces, vehicles, and persons.
Kris Jenner's Statements in Court
In court, Kris stated that she had been informed that DeWick has a criminal history, including a violent assault. She emphasized that he has no relationship whatsoever with her family. Kris described feeling terrified by his behavior and said she has suffered severe emotional distress and anxiety as a result of his actions. DeWick allegedly claimed that Kris had encouraged him to propose to Kylie and accused her of interfering in what he described as a relationship between himself and the makeup mogul. Kris firmly denied this claim, stating, "I certainly would never tell a stranger to go to my daughter's home." She also noted that DeWick attempted to contact the family's neighbors and toured a home within a mile of their properties.
Investigator's Findings
Investigator John Romero, hired by Kris, stated that DeWick had toured a home adjacent to Kim Kardashian's property, a residence formerly owned by Kanye West. DeWick also claimed that a member of the Kardashian-Jenner family is in love with him and has been pursuing him for years. Romero believes the family member in question is Kylie, who is currently in a relationship with actor Timothee Chalamet. DeWick had also filed a federal petition accusing the family of surveilling him and disrupting his alleged relationship with Kylie.
The restraining order comes amid a difficult period for the family, as Kris and Kim also face a legal setback in their ongoing lawsuit against rapper Ray J.
