Television actress Mahhi Vij has issued a fiery response to online trolls who have been spreading rumours of a romantic relationship between her and Nadeem Nadz, the CEO of Salman Khan Films. This controversy erupted after Vij and her former husband, actor Jay Bhanushali, announced the end of their 15-year marriage.
Mahhi Vij's Furious Instagram Rebuttal
In a now-deleted selfie video posted on Instagram, Mahhi Vij condemned the speculation in strong terms. She clarified that Nadeem Nadz is her best friend and a close friend of her ex-husband Jay. The actress revealed that their biological daughter, Tara, has been calling Nadz "Abba" for the past six years, a decision jointly taken by her and Jay Bhanushali.
"You have made the word Abba so disgusting," she stated angrily. Vij accused the rumour-mongers of seeking controversy and filth, unable to digest the fact that she and Jay had parted ways respectfully. She defended Nadz, calling him a "godfather" not just in her life but in the lives of many others. "I literally thoo on you for writing such sh**ty stuff about me and Nadeem," she exclaimed, expressing her disgust.
Mahhi Vij emphasised that she, Jay, and Nadeem are all part of the same close-knit friend circle. She warned the trolls about karma, stating, "Hell is not far for you guys." The rumours had gained traction after Vij shared a birthday wish for Nadz on social media earlier this month.
Industry Support and Jay Bhanushali's Agreement
Following her outburst, Mahhi Vij has been reposting messages of support from friends and colleagues. She shared a post from actress Ankita Lokhande, who lashed out at the trolls and clarified the platonic nature of Vij and Nadz's relationship. Jay Bhanushali reposted the same story, writing, "Thank You Ankita and I agree with every word you have said."
Politician Rahool N Kanal also extended his support, apologising to Jay, Mahhi, and Tara for the unwarranted worries on social media. He reiterated that Nadeem was like a godfather to their daughter.
Arpita Khan Sharma Questions the 'World We Are Living In'
The controversy has drawn reactions from Bollywood circles as well. Salman Khan's sister, Arpita Khan Sharma, reacted to a gossip post linking Mahhi and Nadeem romantically. Sharing it on her Instagram Stories, she wrote, "Nadeem, if someone like you can get called out, then I wonder the world we are living in." Her statement highlighted the absurdity of the allegations against a respected industry figure.
Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali got married in 2011. They are parents to three children: two fostered kids, Khushi and Rajveer (welcomed in 2017), and their biological daughter Tara (born in 2019). While reports of their separation surfaced at the start of 2025, the couple only recently made an official statement about parting ways.
