The couple, married since 1999, was all smiles as they posed for family photos with Tyler and his fiancée Mariah Romano.

Tyler Vrabel and Mariah Romano announced their engagement on Instagram on Sunday. Romano captioned the post: "The most perfect engagement surrounded by the people I love most." The photo featured Mike, Jen, and the couple's youngest son Carter, all appearing relaxed and happy.
Marriage Counseling Summit
The positive optics of the celebration mark a notable turnaround for Mike and Jen, who attended an emergency marriage counseling summit in Park City, Utah, in April. That trip occurred during the NFL Draft, shortly after Page Six published photos of Mike and Russini holding hands and embracing at the Ambiente resort in Sedona, Arizona. They were also photographed together at a pool. Both denied any impropriety, with Russini stating she was on a hiking trip with friends, and Vrabel insisting he joined the group with a friend.
Vrabel initially called the photos "a completely innocent interaction" and dismissed any suggestion of wrongdoing as "laughable." However, he later softened his stance at a pre-Draft press conference, saying: "I take accountability for my actions and for the actions that caused distraction to the people that I care most about — my family, this football team, the organization and the fans."
Additional Allegations
The story did not end in Arizona. In mid-April, photos from 2020 surfaced showing Vrabel and Russini at Tribeca Tavern in New York City, with an insider claiming they were "kissing and all over each other." Further images from 2021 showed them on a private boat in Tennessee, taken while Russini was pregnant with her first child.
Russini resigned from The Athletic but defended her professionalism: "I have covered the NFL with professionalism and dedication throughout my career, and I stand behind every story I have ever published." Her husband, Shake Shack executive Kevin Goldschmidt, appeared publicly with her on Mother's Day, with the two photographed kissing.
Patriots' Support
The New England Patriots stood by Vrabel throughout the controversy, stating: "The New England Patriots fully support Mike Vrabel's decision to prioritize his family first, as well as his own well-being."
