Nora Fatehi, Sanjay Dutt Apologise to NCW Over Song

Following the backlash last month over the suggestive lyrics of the song 'Sarse Ninna Seragu Sarse' from the film KD: The Devil, which was also released in Hindi as 'Sarke Chunar Teri', the National Commission for Women (NCW) issued notices to several individuals associated with the song, including Nora Fatehi, Sanjay Dutt, and the makers of the film.

Sanjay Dutt and Nora Fatehi Appear Before NCW

Sanjay Dutt appeared before the commission on April 27 and apologised for any unintended offence caused by the song. Nora Fatehi reportedly appeared on Thursday in compliance with the notice issued to her. Addressing the controversy, Nora stated, 'It was just a situation that I was put in, and there was no intention to offend anybody. But of course, I have to be responsible as an artist. I definitely apologise. We have done everything in writing,' as reported by PTI.

Makers Remove the Song from the Film

Speaking to the media, Suprith of KVN Productions said that the makers had already appeared before the commission in Delhi last month. 'We were asked a few questions, and we have provided all the answers. As for the song, we have removed it and it is no longer part of the film,' he said.

Nora Fatehi's Social Initiative

The actress further added, 'It's really important for us to give back to society. So, I decided that we should sponsor the education of a few orphan girls. That is the goal after this matter.'

The controversy erupted over the song's suggestive lyrics, which were deemed offensive by the NCW. The commission's action underscores the ongoing scrutiny of content in Indian cinema.
