Tollywood star and Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan, recently disclosed that watching horror movies helps him unwind and achieve mental peace. In a conversation with ANI, the actor-politician shared his affinity for the horror genre, explaining that these films prevent overthinking and bring tranquility to his mind.

Pawan Kalyan's Fondness for Horror

Discussing his preference for horror movies, Pawan Kalyan stated, "I like horror films because they engage me. They don't let me think. They arrest my mind. Otherwise, my mind goes haywire. When I don't get sleep, I watch a horror film and suddenly my mind calms down." He also talked about recent films that impressed him, emphasizing his appreciation for good storytelling without comparing Hindi cinema to South Indian cinema.

Pawan Kalyan Talks About Film 'Baramulla'

Among the movies he recently watched, Pawan Kalyan mentioned 'Baramulla' and praised its unique approach. Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, the film features Manav Kaul and Bhasha Sumbli in key roles. Reflecting on the film, he said, "What he conveyed in that film was entirely different. I felt it was a great narrative approach."

This is not the first time Pawan Kalyan has expressed his love for horror. According to 123Telugu, he previously shared that confronting fictional demons on screen is preferable to dealing with real-life challenges. He remarked, "Instead of facing devils in the outside world, I prefer to face devils on screen."

Pawan Kalyan was last seen in the cop action drama 'Ustaad Bhagat Singh', directed by Harish Shankar. The film also stars Sreeleela, Raashii Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, Nawab Shah, B. S. Avinash, Gautami, and Chammak Chandra in significant roles. Released on March 19, it clashed with Ranveer Singh's 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge', directed by Aditya Dhar.
