While Jackie herself never pursued a career in films like her father, she would always accompany him to sets and other shoots, and had her childhood heavily influenced by the entertainment industry. Her sister, Catherine, was more in the public eye, and became an advocate for the family’s rights. She fought a legal battle against her father’s second wife in order to gain visitation rights for him as he had been suffering from dementia. Peter Falk passed away in 2011.
