Amid swirling speculation about actress Sonakshi Sinha's relationship with her brothers, Luv and Kussh Sinha, a family member has stepped forward to clear the air. Pooja Ruparel, famously known as Chhutki from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Sonakshi's cousin, has vehemently denied any rift, labelling the reports as baseless gossip.

In a candid conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Pooja Ruparel addressed the rumours head-on. She expressed her frustration with the unnecessary public discourse, stating, “I’m not here to give gossip. I have met Zaheer, and he’s one of the funniest men I have ever met. I love him!”
She further questioned the narrative by pointing to concrete evidence of family unity. “Luv and Sonakshi have worked together in a full-fledged film, Nikita Roy. If they were on bad terms, would they have done that? The whole family appeared together on The Great Indian Kapil Show,” Pooja reasoned, adding, “People just love to gossip.”

The rumours of a family fallout gained traction after Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal tied the knot in June 2024. Online claims suggested that her brothers, Luv and Kussh Sinha, were conspicuously absent from the wedding festivities in Mumbai. While Luv Sinha later stated he preferred not to comment on private matters, his silence inadvertently fueled more speculation.

Beyond defending the family, Pooja Ruparel had glowing words for the newly married couple. She described Sonakshi and Zaheer's relationship as genuine and joyful.
“There’s so much love and comfort between them. They complement each other beautifully,” she said. The couple, who had been dating for years before their marriage, has often been under the microscope of online scrutiny, which Pooja believes is completely unwarranted.

Pooja also shared insights into her own close bond with the Sinha family, particularly with Sonakshi's mother, Poonam Sinha. She revealed that her aunt has been a pivotal figure in her life.
“She’s seen me since childhood and has always treated me like her own. The entire family is very close-knit. People love to make stories out of thin air,” Pooja stated.
