Prakash Raj Refutes Allegations of Rs 200 Crore Payment to Defame Dharmasthala
Actor Prakash Raj has strongly denied allegations made by a masked man that he received Rs 200 crore to defame the Dharmasthala temple. The actor stated that he has forwarded a phone call recording with the complainant to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing mass burials in the region.
The allegations surfaced when a masked individual claimed that Prakash Raj was paid a huge sum to tarnish the image of the revered religious institution. Reacting to the claims, the actor dismissed them as baseless and malicious.
Actor Cooperates with SIT Investigation
Prakash Raj said he voluntarily handed over details of a phone conversation with the complainant to the SIT, which is investigating cases of mass burials. He emphasized that he has nothing to hide and is cooperating fully with the authorities.
The SIT has been looking into allegations of mass burials in the Dakshina Kannada district, and the actor's statement is seen as a move to clear his name. The investigation is ongoing, and further details are awaited.
Prakash Raj, known for his outspoken views, reiterated that he respects the Dharmasthala institution and has never engaged in any activities to defame it. He called the allegations a conspiracy to divert attention from the real issues.
