Rasha Thadani made her film debut with Azaad last year and has since been exploring a variety of roles. Her upcoming projects span multiple genres, including Laikey Laikaa and the South Indian film Srinivasa Mangapuram. Now, with a film alongside Vir Hirani on the horizon, she finds herself at an exciting turning point in her career.
Fitness and dance
At the launch of Superdry Sport in Mumbai, Rasha slipped into fitness gear and showcased her moves. She credited dancing for keeping her fit. Reflecting on her journey since her debut, she said, "I feel grateful. I wake up every day and do something that I love. I can't wait to see what the future holds for me."
Collaboration with Vir Hirani
Her upcoming collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani's son, Vir Hirani, has already sparked curiosity. The film, titled Lagan Laagi Re, marks Vir's debut. While shooting hasn't started yet, Rasha's early interactions have left a positive impression. "We haven't started shooting yet, but I hope it's as exciting as we expect it to be," she said. Speaking about their meetings, she added, "We've done a few readings—he is very sweet and extremely talented."
Diverse genre choices
Even as she navigates big-banner collaborations, Rasha is clear about not being boxed into a single genre. "I'm trying to do everything. I'm really looking to do horror," she said, unfazed by market pressures, as box office returns for horror films have historically been modest. "I'm honestly not in it for external reasons. I'm in it because I love what I do. Whenever I sign a new film, I try to do something that challenges me and something that's different."
She elaborated on her film choices: "All my films so far, about four, are different from each other. From the tonal uniqueness of Laikey Laikaa to the action-romance space of Srinivasa Mangapuram, everything has a different touch, a different taste. It's a challenge for me, and I love it."
