Popular television actors and real-life couple Ravie Dubey and Sargun Mehta recently embarked on a spiritual journey to one of India's most revered shrines, the Shree Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain. The power couple, known for their successful careers in entertainment, took time off from their busy schedules for divine blessings.
A Divine Experience at Mahakaleshwar
The celebrity duo visited the temple on Sunday and actively participated in the sacred Bhasma Aarti, one of the most significant rituals dedicated to Lord Shiva. Speaking about their experience, Ravie Dubey expressed his appreciation for the temple arrangements, stating that the committee had left no stone unturned for all devotees present.
"With the blessings of Shree Mahakal, everything was carried out with much ease," Ravie shared, highlighting the smooth conduct of the rituals despite the massive crowd of devotees who had gathered at the temple.
The Sacred Rituals of Bhasma Aarti
The Bhasma Aarti is performed during the auspicious Brahma Muhurta, between 3:30 and 5:30 AM, and holds immense religious significance. According to Hindu beliefs, participating in this ritual helps fulfill the wishes of devotees.
The traditional ceremony follows a specific sequence:
- The doors of Baba Mahakal's sanctum open in the early morning hours
- The deity receives a holy bath with Panchamrit, a sacred mixture of milk, curd, ghee, sugar, and honey
- Adornment with hemp and sandalwood follows
- The unique Bhasma Aarti and dhoop-deep Aarti take place accompanied by drum beats and conch shells
