Elijah Schaffer, CEO of RiftTV, has announced he is being forced to leave his home with his young family due to severe doxxing and threats following a defamation lawsuit filed by Alexis Wilkins, the girlfriend of former FBI director Kash Patel.
The Lawsuit That Sparked the Crisis
Alexis Wilkins filed separate $5 million lawsuits against three individuals: Kyle Seraphin, Sam Parker, and Elijah Schaffer. She accused them of defaming her by spreading rumors that she works for Mossad and had 'honeytrapped' FBI director Kash Patel. The lawsuits stem from conspiracy theories that circulated in MAGA circles suggesting Wilkins was an Israeli spy.
Schaffer has called the lawsuit frivolous, claiming he never made any statements about Wilkins but merely shared a photograph of her with Patel. Despite this, he says the legal action has triggered a wave of harassment against him and his family.
Family Safety Under Threat
In an emotional video statement, Schaffer revealed the extent of the threats facing his family. "My family is being threatened and our safety is on line," he stated. "Apparently, in support of Alexis Wilkins's lawsuit, individuals have targeted my family."
The situation has become so dire that Schaffer's lawyers have advised him to move out of state. His employees at RiftTV are reportedly worried about the company's operations as their CEO is forced to relocate. Schaffer emphasized that his wife is an Australian citizen and their two children are only one and 2.5 years old, making the safety concerns particularly urgent.
Background of the Controversy
The controversy began when social media conspiracy theories suggested that 26-year-old Alexis Wilkins, who works for conservative platform PragerU, was an Israeli spy. The theories gained traction because PragerU's CEO previously served in the Israeli Army. However, Wilkins has clarified that while she works for the platform, she has no connections to Israel and has never visited the country.
Another aspect that fueled rumors was the significant age difference between 45-year-old Kash Patel and 26-year-old Wilkins. Conspiracy theorists suggested Wilkins wasn't genuinely attracted to Patel and had trapped him. Both Patel and Wilkins have vehemently denied these allegations, leading to Wilkins' decision to sue those she believes defamed her.
Schaffer has publicly urged Alexis Wilkins to condemn the doxxing publicly, arguing that her influential social position as the FBI director's girlfriend makes such condemnation crucial for his family's safety.
