Recent Work and Health Challenges

Despite health challenges in recent years, the actor continued appearing in films. His recent screen outings included projects such as Dileep's Bha Bha Ba and Koodothram. Earlier, he was also seen in Malayalee from India and Kallanum Bhagavathiyum. Fans continued appreciating his presence on screen, regardless of the role size.

Earlier Remarks on Comedy Films

Earlier this year, Salim Kumar spoke about the present state of comedy films during an interaction. As reported by Manorama Online, he said, "Name one good comedy film that happened recently. I will definitely say that the answer is no. There were numerous good comedy films back in the day, now the industry lacks good comedy films that really make you laugh."

While discussing recent films including Premalu and Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil, he added, "It's been long since I watched a good comedy movie and laughed. There may be several counter-arguments to this, but I stand on my opinion that these new movies are just rehashing old comedies."
