As anticipation builds around the release of 'Maa Inti Bangaram', Samantha has revealed just how deeply writer-director Raj Nidimoru is involved in both her personal and professional life. The actor-producer shared that she regularly seeks his opinion before making important decisions and often trusts his judgment over her own.
Samantha on Raj's influence
During a conversation with Galatta Plus, Samantha explained, "Every single thing is a joint decision. Not just a film. Something as simple as an Instagram post. I still bounce it off with him, because he has such a real perspective on things even though he is in this industry which kind of alienates you and puts you in a bubble."
The actress went on to praise Raj's grounded outlook, noting that his ability to remain connected to reality is one of the reasons she values his advice so highly. According to Samantha, discussions with him are an integral part of her decision-making process. "He is so in touch with reality. I love to bounce off every decision that I make. I would like to discuss it with him. And 99 per cent of the time I listen to him," she said.
Raj's presence throughout 'Maa Inti Bangaram'
Samantha also highlighted Raj's extensive contribution to 'Maa Inti Bangaram', describing the project as something very close to him. While Nandini directs the film, she believes Raj's creative fingerprints can be found across every stage of production. Calling the film "his baby", Samantha shared that Raj was involved from the scripting phase to the final stages of post-production. His participation extended to on-set supervision, sound design discussions, music-related inputs, and the overall shaping of the project.
Samantha's return to the big screen
'Maa Inti Bangaram' marks Samantha's return to theatres after her appearances in the 2023 releases 'Shaakunthalam' and 'Kushi'. Since then, she has continued to explore diverse projects, including starring opposite Varun Dhawan in Raj and DK's Prime Video series 'Citadel: Honey Bunny'.
In 2025, she also stepped into production with 'Subham', where she made a cameo appearance while backing the project under her banner.
The upcoming film has been created by Raj Nidimoru and is jointly produced by Raj, Samantha, and Himank under the Tralala Moving Pictures banner. The screenplay has been developed by Raj along with Vasanth Maringanti, while Prahas Boppudi contributed additional screenplay work.
