Shoaib Ibrahim and his family are currently navigating a challenging period as both his father and wife, Dipika Kakar, face health issues. The actor recently shared a video on his YouTube channel providing updates on their conditions.
Dipika Kakar's Immunotherapy
Speaking about Dipika's health, Shoaib revealed that she has started immunotherapy. 'Deepika's immunotherapy has just begun and is currently underway. I came here from Kokilaben Hospital today and have been with her for the past few hours. I plan to stay until her session is completed,' he said.
Father's Recovery Progress
Regarding his father, Shoaib shared positive news. 'Papa is doing much better now. There are still a few things that will take time, such as his speech and the strength on the right side of his body. He can move his hand but is not yet able to lift it properly. His rehabilitation sessions will begin soon, and we are hopeful about his recovery.'
He added, 'The most important update is that after a long time, I was finally able to hear Papa's voice. Since he had a tracheostomy, doctors fitted a valve to help him speak. A few days ago, after nearly 10 days, I heard him talk again. He is now speaking, understanding things better, smiling, laughing, and responding clearly when we ask him something.'
ICU to Ward Transfer
Shoaib also informed that his father will soon be moved from the ICU to a regular ward. 'According to doctors, Papa may be shifted from the ICU to a regular ward either tomorrow or by Monday. After that, he will remain in the hospital for a few more days as part of recovery. His rehabilitation sessions, including physiotherapy, speech therapy, and other treatments, will begin and continue during this period. While he is expected to stay for another 8–10 days, we are hopeful he will soon be out of the ICU.'
Dismissing Surgery Rumors
The Sasural Simar Ka actor dismissed rumors about Dipika undergoing surgery. 'I received many messages asking if Dipika will have surgery. However, that is not the case. The doctors have not made any decision regarding surgery yet, and we have not been told whether it will be needed. I don't know where these reports came from or who started them. As of now, there is no update about any surgery. Right now, she is taking immunotherapy,' he clarified.
