Smriti Mandhana's Wedding on Hold as Father Recovers, Cheating Rumours Swirl
Smriti Mandhana Wedding Postponed Amid Cheating Rumours

Wedding Plans Remain in Limbo

It has been more than a day since Indian cricket star Smriti Mandhana's father, Shrinivas Mandhana, was discharged from the hospital, yet there is still no clarity on when his daughter's much-anticipated wedding will take place. Shrinivas Mandhana returned to his Sangli home on Monday morning, marking a positive turn in his health after a sudden medical emergency.

A Father's Health Crisis and Postponed Nuptials

The senior Mandhana fell ill on November 23, the very day his daughter Smriti was supposed to marry music composer Palash Muchhal. This unexpected health scare led to his immediate admission to a hospital in Sangli, which is also Smriti's hometown. The wedding was consequently postponed indefinitely. Medical professionals conducted an angiography and found no blockages, confirming that his condition is now stable and he is out of danger. Despite this good news and his return home, both families have maintained a complete radio silence regarding a new wedding date.

Allegations of Infidelity Surface Online

Amid the uncertainty surrounding the wedding, a new controversy has erupted on social media. Rumours are circulating that Palash Muchhal may have been unfaithful to Smriti Mandhana. Unverified screenshots shared on Reddit and Instagram purport to show private, flirtatious chats between Palash and a woman named Mary D'Costa, allegedly taking place between May and July 2025.

The content of these alleged messages is damning. Palash is claimed to have invited the woman for a swim, a spa visit, and an early morning walk at Versova beach. In one exchange, he is alleged to have complained that his long-distance relationship with the cricketer literally s*cks. He reportedly discussed meeting Smriti only once every three to five months, describing the relationship as dead most of the times.

When the woman asked if he loved Smriti, his reply was reportedly non-committal: "Sab yahin baat karlo tum (So, you want to know everything over the chat?)." Another message suggests he offered to make their outing look like a group activity to avoid suspicion. A separate, unverified text claims the woman decided to expose the chats because she is a fan of Smriti Mandhana and felt compelled to speak out, leading to significant online backlash against her.

The combination of a family health emergency and these serious personal allegations has cast a long shadow over what was expected to be a joyous celebration, leaving fans and well-wishers awaiting an official word.
