Smriti Mandhana Wedding Postponed: Choreographers Deny Rumours

Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal's Wedding Postponed Due to Family Health Crisis

The much-anticipated wedding of Indian cricket star Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal, scheduled for November 23, was unexpectedly postponed, sending shockwaves through their fanbase. The primary reason for the delay was a serious health emergency involving Smriti's father, who fell critically ill on the morning of the wedding and required immediate hospitalisation. In a subsequent turn of events, the groom, Palash Muchhal, was also admitted to the hospital due to what was described as stress-related distress.

Choreographers Break Silence Amid False Accusations

In the wake of the postponement, online speculation ran rampant, with unfounded rumours falsely implicating the wedding choreographers, Nandika Dwivedi and Gulnaaz Khan, in the situation. To set the record straight, both professionals took to their respective Instagram stories to issue clear and emotional denials.

Nandika Dwivedi, who had temporarily made her social media account private to shield herself from a barrage of threatening messages from strangers, posted a detailed statement. She explicitly clarified that she played "no role in disrupting anyone's relationship." Describing the ordeal as "extremely painful," she revealed the significant toll the false allegations were taking on her mental health and the stress it was causing her loved ones. She passionately appealed to the public, saying, "Please, I request you all to stop the rumours." Nandika also spoke of her personal sacrifices to build a career in Mumbai and pleaded for her name to be cleared.

Echoing these sentiments, the other choreographer, Gulnaaz Khan, also released a statement to dispel the misinformation. She firmly stated, "We are not the person involved in this issue," emphasising that a mere social connection or a photograph with someone does not implicate them in personal matters. She urged for respect and understanding from the public.

Current Status and Official Clarification

Official confirmation regarding the wedding's postponement came from Smriti Mandhana's manager, who cited the cricketer's father's ill health as the sole reason. Fortunately, there is positive news on the health front, as both Smriti's father and Palash Muchhal have since been discharged from the hospital. While the families navigate this challenging period, the wedding remains postponed to a future date, with the focus squarely on the well-being of those involved.
