Sunita Ahuja opens up about living separately from Govinda
Sunita Ahuja, wife of veteran Bollywood actor Govinda, has candidly revealed that the couple currently lives in separate homes. Appearing on the reality show Lock Upp: Sach Ya Saza hosted by Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh, she shared that she has emotionally moved forward and now centres her life around her children.
Emotional shift and focus on children
Responding to questions about her marriage, Sunita said she chooses not to dwell on past issues as overthinking would only add stress. Her primary focus remains her children Tina and Yashvardhan Ahuja, for whom she says she lives. She emphasised that she values her personal space and privacy.
On constant monitoring in relationships
Sunita questioned the idea of constant monitoring in a relationship, stating, “Tum rok sakte ho kisi ko? Main 24 ghanta unke saamne baithi rahu? Samne wala bhi toh irritate ho jayga na? Main sochti hi nahi hoon.” This translates to: “Can you stop someone? Should I sit in front of him 24 hours a day? Won’t the other person get irritated? I don’t even think about it.”
No interest in new relationships
She also clarified that she is not interested in pursuing new relationships, stating that she has experienced enough in life already. Sunita and Govinda married in 1987 and have two children. Over the years, their relationship has been subject to public speculation, though both have occasionally dismissed separation rumours during public appearances.
