Hollywood Actress Faces Terrifying Hotel Bar Experience
American actress Tara Reid, best known for her iconic role in the popular film 'American Pie', found herself at the center of a disturbing incident this Tuesday. The celebrity revealed she was allegedly drugged while visiting a hotel bar in Rosemont, leaving her unconscious and requiring immediate hospital treatment.
The Frightening Sequence of Events
According to Reid's detailed account shared with TMZ Live, the unsettling episode began after she checked into her Rosemont hotel. The actress decided to visit the hotel bar where she ordered a glass of wine. She briefly stepped outside for a smoke, accompanied by one of several YouTubers she had met earlier in the hotel lobby.
Upon returning to her bar seat, Reid noticed something unusual - a napkin had been placed over her wine glass. She specifically mentioned that she hadn't left the napkin there herself. After removing the covering, she continued drinking her wine. What followed remains largely blank in her memory.
"The next thing I remember, I was in the hospital," Reid stated during her interview, highlighting the complete memory loss she experienced after that moment.
Hospital Confirmation and Ongoing Investigation
Video evidence obtained by TMZ appears to support Reid's claims, showing the actress being wheeled out of the hotel on a wheelchair and later transported via stretcher to a nearby medical facility.
Medical staff at the hospital informed Reid that she had likely been drugged, though she acknowledged the explanation remained somewhat "vague." The actress didn't inquire about the specific substance involved, but emphasized that despite her past struggles with substance abuse, she had consumed only one glass of wine that evening.
The experience left the actress deeply shaken. "I could have been raped," Reid expressed, considering herself fortunate that the situation didn't escalate further.
Local authorities confirmed that while Reid was transported to hospital from the hotel, Rosemont Police have not received any formal complaint about the alleged drugging incident. However, Reid indicated she's considering filing an official police report, especially since several YouTubers were filming in the area during the time of the incident.
