Varun Dhawan Reveals His Alibaug Proposal Went Off Track

Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan recently opened up about his less-than-perfect proposal to his wife Natasha Dalal, admitting that it did not resemble the romantic moments typically portrayed in films. The couple, who tied the knot in January 2021 after a long relationship, have been married for five years and share a daughter named Lara.

Varun Dhawan Reveals How His Alibaug Proposal Plan Went Completely Off Track

During a recent episode of comedian Tanmay Bhat's YouTube show, Varun Dhawan shared the details of his proposal to Natasha during a trip to Alibaug, explaining how things did not go as planned. He had intended to play Marc Anthony's song "You Sang To Me," go swimming with Natasha, and then propose as she emerged from the pool. However, the plan quickly unraveled.

Varun recounted, "We were in Alibaug. I played singer Marc Anthony's 'You Sang To Me.' Thought we would go swimming, and I would pop the question as she came out of the pool. I was messing around till then. By the time I got the ring, she had already gotten out of the pool. I messed up two or three times. The perfect proposal you see in movies doesn't happen in real life."
