The Indian film industry is grieving the loss of Zarine Khan, wife of veteran actor Sanjay Khan, who passed away on Friday after suffering a cardiac arrest in Mumbai. The 81-year-old matriarch had been battling age-related health issues for some time before her demise.

Following her mother's last rites, interior designer Sussanne Khan, who was previously married to Hrithik Roshan, poured her heart out in an emotional Instagram post. She shared several throwback photographs capturing precious moments with her mother across different occasions.
In her touching tribute, Sussanne described Zarine as her "bestestttttt friend, my God, my life" and referred to her as their "beautiful mummy" who would always remain their guiding light. She expressed how her mother taught the family to live life with grace and love, hoping they could embody even half of her amazing qualities.
The emotional note concluded with Sussanne writing, "P.S You took all our hearts with you," accompanied by heartbroken and praying hands emojis, capturing the depth of her grief.

Funeral and Last Rites
Zayed Khan, Zarine's son, conducted the rituals for his mother's last rites on Friday. The funeral saw significant attendance from Bollywood personalities at the Juhu Crematorium in Mumbai.
Among those who paid their final respects were Hrithik Roshan, Aly Goni, Saba Azda, Jackie Shroff, Bobby Deol, Zoya Akhtar, Rani Mukerji, Gauri Khan, and Seema Sajdeh. The Khan family received support from industry friends including Sweta Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Neelam Kothari, Jasmine Bhasin, Rakul Preet Singh, and Jackky Bhagnani.
The family has organized a prayer meet scheduled for Monday at Mumbai's JW Marriott hotel to honor Zarine Khan's memory.
