BTS World Tour Leaves India Disappointed Again

Indian ARMY members received disappointing news this week. The highly anticipated BTS comeback world tour will not include India in its official lineup for 2026-2027. The K-pop septet announced their extensive tour schedule spanning twelve months across four continents, but Indian fans will need to travel abroad to catch their favorite band live.

Why India Missed the Cut This Time

Excitement had been building among Indian fans after BTS member V greeted Indian ARMY with a "Namaste" during a WeVerse chat last month. Many interpreted this as a hint about possible India concerts in 2026. HYBE, BTS's management agency, has been expanding its India operations and partnered with BookMyShow Live to bring Jung Kook's GOLDEN exhibition to Mumbai last December.

However, during the exhibition preview, BookMyShow's COO Anil Sharma tempered expectations. "It'll take time to get BTS to India," Sharma stated. When pressed about potential 2026 concerts, he responded cryptically, "This is just the trailer. The best is Yet To Come," referencing BTS's popular 2022 song.

The Massive Comeback Tour Details

BTS's world tour marks their first major concert series in four years. The tour will be the largest-ever single tour by a K-pop group in terms of total shows, featuring 79 performances across 34 cities worldwide.

The journey begins in South Korea this April and continues through March 2027, covering Asia, North America, South America, Australia, and Europe. The band's label has indicated that more cities will be announced for next year, including additional stops in Japan and the Middle East, leaving hope for Indian fans in future phases.

What This Means for Indian Fans

Indian ARMY members who can manage international travel have numerous options to experience BTS concerts this year. The tour offers multiple stops across Asia, including Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia. European and American destinations also provide opportunities for those with broader travel plans.

While the absence of Indian dates disappoints many, HYBE's growing presence in India through exhibitions and partnerships suggests future possibilities. The agency continues to build its relationship with the Indian market, potentially paving the way for BTS concerts in coming years.

For now, Indian fans must look beyond their borders to witness BTS's historic comeback tour. The extensive schedule provides ample chances for dedicated ARMY members to plan international trips around concert dates. Those unable to travel can only hope that future tour announcements will finally include the Indian subcontinent.
