Anshula Kapoor's mehendi ceremony, held at home and secretly orchestrated by her sisters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, was a deeply personal celebration that blended family love, tradition, and thoughtful surprises. The intimate afternoon gathering marked the beginning of Anshula's wedding celebrations with Rohan Thakkar.
A Surprise Planned by Sisters
Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor planned the entire mehendi as a surprise for the bride-to-be. Anshula shared, 'I knew there was a celebration—I just had no idea what they had dreamt up. Watching it all unfold, surrounded by so much love, is a memory I'll hold onto forever.' The event brought together close family and friends for an afternoon filled with warmth and tradition.
Bespoke Patola-Inspired Lehenga
One of the highlights was Anshula's teal blue lehenga by designer Arpita Mehta. Inspired by Gujarat's iconic Patola textile tradition and elevated with signature mirror work, the outfit paid homage to the family Anshula is marrying into. Anshula explained, 'For my mehendi, I wanted my outfit to honour the family I was stepping into. This incredible teal blue lehenga by @arpitamehtaofficial is inspired by the rich legacy of Patola, while beautifully incorporating her signature mirror work—bringing together two crafts that are so deeply intertwined with Gujarat's textile heritage. What makes it even more special? This is @arpita__mehta's very first Patola-inspired bridal lehenga.'
Family and Tradition at the Forefront
The ceremony was hosted at home by Janhvi and Khushi, creating an intimate setting. The mehendi marked a beautiful start to Anshula Kapoor and Rohan Thakkar's wedding celebrations, with the couple set to tie the knot in the coming days. The event underscored the importance of family and tradition in the Kapoor household.
