Star Singer contestant Dilraj Gopi is winning hearts with his stunning performance. In the recent episode, he left everyone impressed with his mesmerizing performance in the 'Move With Improvisation' round.
In the round where contestants were given the chance to add their own improvisations to popular songs, Dilraj chose the evergreen Malayalam hit 'Tu Badi Masha Allah' from the movie His Highness Abdulla. Undoubtedly, he nailed it with perfection. From the starting harmonium bit to the last stanza beautifully improvised by the singer, the performance was nothing short of a treat.
Actor Shane Nigam, who appeared as a guest on the show, was visibly impressed by Dilraj's rendition. 'It was a divine experience. I am a fan of the Qawwali genre, and it was so good,' he said.
After awarding 100 marks, the golden star for the performance, judge and singer KS Chithra remarked, 'Each of the add-ons was beautiful. Some of them were truly unexpected, and I enjoyed it.' The singer also applauded the orchestra for their brilliant backing.
Judge Sithara Krishnakumar added that Dilraj could own the song and present it as his version. Notably, this is Dilraj's 8th golden performance on the show. Recently, he also received a special gift from KS Chithra, who gave him a guitar as a token of love for his efforts for his co-contestants and his brilliant performances.
Star Singer continues to win hearts as a beloved Malayalam TV show. The reality show currently has 10 contestants competing for the grand prize of Rs 50 lakhs.
