The production house, backed by Mahesh Babu and his wife, former actress Namrata Shirodkar, took to their X (formerly Twitter) handle to reveal the new release date. Alongside the announcement, they shared multiple posters from the film, each featuring portraits of Venkatesh Maha’s character. The caption read: “A new date. An unforgettable cinema experience. #RaoBahadur in cinemas worldwide from July 3. / రావు బహదూర్. Remember - 'Doubt is a Demon'.” Venkatesh Maha has not only directed the film but also written and edited it.
The teaser of ‘Rao Bahadur’ was released in April of the previous year and was launched by acclaimed filmmaker SS Rajamouli. Rajamouli praised the leading man, stating, “Happy to see Satyadev evolving and portraying larger-than-life characters.”
About ‘Rao Bahadur’
The film stars Satya Dev as Rao Bahadur, a man who believes he is possessed by a demon. Although those around him consider him insane, the character is convinced that his claims hold some truth. In a pivotal sequence, he explains the demon through a fill-in-the-blank analogy: “Doubt is a deadly demon. That is the demon I am possessed by.” In the posters, Satya Dev appears in a royal and elderly look, adorned in purple royal attire and pearls.
‘Rao Bahadur’ Single
The makers have also released a song from the movie titled ‘O Sundari’. The track has been well-received by audiences for its old-style aesthetic and soft, melodious music. It depicts a vintage world that feels rich and elegant, with visuals evoking a strong sense of a bygone royal era.
The film also features Deepa Thomas as the female lead, along with supporting cast members Vikas Muppala, Bala Parasar, Anand Bharathi, Pranay Vaka, and Master Kiran. The music is composed by Smaran Sai.
