Sivakarthikeyan's 'Seyon' First Schedule Wrapped

The makers of Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming film 'Seyon' have officially announced that the first schedule of shooting has been completed. Directed by Sivakumar Murugesan, the film is backed by veteran Tamil star Kamal Haasan's production house, Raaj Kamal Films International. The movie is set to be a rural action drama.

Sharing the update, the production house wrote on social media, "From passion to progress #Seyon First Schedule Wrapped." The post included hashtags like #சேயோன், #VetrivelVeeravel, and #Varendi. The film began its journey with a grand pooja ceremony in Madurai on May 18. The launch event was attended by several well-known personalities, including Kamal Haasan. The film features Baghyashrii Borse as the female lead opposite Sivakarthikeyan.

The makers shared the update on social media and called it a "celebration moment." A special video titled "Journey Begins Tomorrow" was also released. The video showed Sivakarthikeyan meeting Kamal Haasan and spending time with the full team before the shoot started. This film marks Sivakarthikeyan's return to Raaj Kamal Films International after the success of 'Amaran'. The actor shares a strong bond with the production house after the film became both a critical and commercial hit.

Cast of 'Seyon'

The new movie also stars Bhagyashri Borse and Bala Saravanan in important roles. Music for the film is composed by Santhosh Narayanan. Cinematography is handled by Vivek Vijayakumar, while San Lokesh does the editing.

The makers have released the teaser, which is set during the Maasi Kalari Festival at the Karumathur Virumandi Temple. It shows a police investigation after a violent clash during the celebration. As the teaser progresses, Sivakarthikeyan's character is seen as a feared and respected man, whom the locals call "Lord Virumandi." Interestingly, it reminds the audience of Kamal Haasan's famous role in 'Virumandi'. With the first schedule now complete and work progressing smoothly, the team is aiming for a theatrical release in October this year.
