Television actress Aanchal Khurana, who first gained fame after winning Roadies Season 8, is currently making waves with her performance in the popular show Tu Juliet Jatt Di. The actress, known for her negative lead role in Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke and recent appearance in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2, feels a special connection to her current project.
Punjabi Roots and Cultural Connection
In an exclusive conversation, Aanchal revealed how her Punjabi heritage makes her role in Tu Juliet Jatt Di particularly meaningful. "Being a Punjabi myself, the cultural flavor of the show naturally feels very close to my heart," she shared. The actress expressed that everything from the language to family dynamics and overall vibe feels familiar and comforting to her.
Currently portraying the character of Richa in the Sargun Mehta and Ravie Dubey production, Aanchal finds the show's authentic representation of Punjabi culture refreshing and genuine.
Unconventional Entry and Dream Collaboration
The actress disclosed an interesting detail about how she landed the role without going through the typical audition process. "I didn't audition for this show," Aanchal confirmed. She received a direct call asking if she would like to work with Dreamiyata, the production house owned by Ravie Dubey and Sargun Mehta.
Her immediate yes stemmed from genuine admiration for the producers. "I genuinely admire Ravie sir and Sargun ma'am, and the opportunity to be associated with their production house was the biggest reason I took up this project," she explained, highlighting her respect for the talented duo.
Contrasting Real Life with On-Screen Persona
Aanchal was candid about the significant differences between her real personality and the character she portrays. "In real life, I'm not someone who gossips or gets involved in planning and plotting," she stated, describing herself as someone who enjoys solitude, traveling, and living independently.
Her character Richa, however, comes from a wealthy background and approaches family conflicts as entertainment. "She doesn't like her mother-in-law and constantly keeps poking her," Aanchal described, noting that this personality type marks a departure from her previous roles.
The actress believes Tu Juliet Jatt Di brings something unique to television programming. "The show brings a fresh take on Punjabi culture and relationships, without trying too hard," she observed, praising its lively, authentic, and relatable energy that distinguishes it from typical romance-dramas.
Aanchal also expressed appreciation for her co-stars and the positive working environment. "Being around talented actors always helps you elevate your own performance, and the overall environment on set has been very positive and inspiring," she concluded, indicating a rewarding experience working on the show.
