Anto Joseph Complains of 'Patriot' Piracy

Kochi: The Ernakulam Cyber Crime Police have registered a case following a complaint by film producer Anto Joseph alleging that pirated versions of the recently released Malayalam movie Patriot were illegally circulated online, causing financial loss to his production company, Anto Joseph Film Company.

According to the complaint, the company holds exclusive copyright over the film, which was allegedly recorded and shared through websites and social media platforms between May 2 and May 5. The unauthorised circulation led to a significant drop in box office revenue.

Police said an investigation has been launched to identify those responsible for uploading and sharing the pirated content online. "We have registered a case based on the complaint and initiated steps to trace those involved in the copyright infringement," a police official stated.
