Indira Krishnan Juggles Festive Celebrations and Major Film Role During Hectic Shooting Schedule
Actress Indira Krishnan remains fully immersed in her professional commitments. She currently portrays the character Durgawati in the popular television series Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan. Her shooting schedule keeps her constantly on the move, yet she finds meaningful ways to celebrate traditional festivals wherever work takes her.
Festive Prayers and First-Time Lohri Experience in Punjab
This year, the Pongal festival found Indira in Chandigarh due to her filming obligations. She emphasized that her spiritual practices continue uninterrupted. "My prayers never stop, even when I'm shooting," the actress stated. She specifically mentioned praying for the well-being and success of students. "This year, my prayers are especially for children appearing for their Class 10, Class 12, and various entrance exams. I wish for their wisdom to guide them to success and help every child shine brightly in their chosen field," Indira shared.
She also experienced celebrating Lohri in Punjab for the very first time. "Lohri in Punjab is always an amazing celebration," she remarked. "The cold weather this year has been particularly intense, but it did nothing to dampen the festive spirit. The incredible joy and genuine warmth that people bring to the celebrations make it an absolutely unforgettable experience. Since I'm shooting for Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan here, this first Lohri in Punjab will always hold a special place in my memory."
Embracing a Life on the Move and a Landmark Cinematic Project
When asked if she misses her home during constant travel, Indira responded with a smile. "This is also my home. For me, work is home, and home is work. I am always on my toes, fully engaged. The word 'missing' rarely finds a place in my personal dictionary. My energy and my mindset consistently propel me forward," she explained.
