Rituals to Perform on Somvati Amavasya

- Light a diya with desi ghee in the puja room in the name of ancestors.
- Prepare sattvik food and invite a priest or Brahmin to perform Pitru Tarpan (offering to ancestors).
- Offer food, clothing, and dakshina (donation) to the priest or Brahmin.
- After completing Pitru Puja, chant Vedic mantras dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu.
- Donate food, clothing, and dakshina to those in need.
