A 'Run for Yoga and Cleanliness' rally, also known as a walkathon, was organized on Friday in the Sangam city under the joint aegis of the AYUSH Department, the Prayagraj Municipal Corporation, and the district administration. The event aimed to raise public awareness about the importance of yoga and cleanliness.

Flag-Off Ceremony

The rally was flagged off by Mayor Umesh Chandra Ganesh Kesarwani. The walkathon commenced at Gate No. 1 of Chandrashekhar Azad Park and concluded at the Hanumat Niketan Temple in Civil Lines.

Mayor's Address

While flagging off the rally, Mayor Ganesh Kesarwani highlighted the significance of yoga. He emphasized that it is the collective responsibility of the people to spread the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding Ayurveda, yoga, and cleanliness to every citizen. He noted that both yoga and cleanliness are essential for building a healthy society.

Street Play and Pledge

To inspire the public to adopt yoga and cleanliness and to follow a healthy lifestyle, a street play was also staged. All attendees took a pledge to practice yoga regularly in their daily lives and to keep their neighborhoods clean.
