The deceased has been identified as Thanishka R Gatti, the young daughter of Rajesh Gatti and Rajeshwari. The family originally hails from Uliyathadka, Madhur, in the Kasaragod district but had recently relocated to Kolya due to the mother's teaching job at a school in Ullal.

According to police reports, Thanishka was playing Ludo with her siblings at home when the accident occurred. With the school closed, she was enjoying a game with her brother and sister. In a moment of tragic mishap, she accidentally swallowed a cone-shaped plastic piece from the board game and immediately began choking.

Desperate Rush to Hospitals

As Thanishka's condition rapidly deteriorated, her mother, with the urgent assistance of neighbors, rushed the child to a private hospital in Thokkottu. Medical professionals at the first facility determined she needed more advanced care and transferred her to another private hospital in Deralakatte.

Despite the frantic efforts of doctors and medical staff at the second hospital, Thanishka could not be saved. She was tragically declared dead upon arrival, leaving her family and community devastated by the sudden loss.
