LPG Leak Fire in Mandsaur Injures Four Family Members

Indore: A tragic incident occurred in Laduna village under Sitamau police station area of Mandsaur district on Friday, where three members of a family and their domestic help sustained severe burn injuries after an LPG cylinder leakage sparked a fire.

Details of the Incident

The accident took place at the residence of 45-year-old Jagdish Rathore. According to sources, when the previous gas cylinder got exhausted, Jagdish attempted to replace it with a new one. As he broke the seal and removed the cap, the gas leaked rapidly under high pressure. The leaked LPG immediately caught fire, reportedly after the gas stove was lit, engulfing the entire kitchen in flames.

Victims and Rescue Efforts

The victims include Jagdish, his wife Radhabai, their 15-year-old daughter Preeti, and 32-year-old domestic help Parmeshwar Bhil. They were all severely injured in the fire. Neighbors rushed to the spot upon hearing their screams. The villagers quickly procured fire extinguishers from a nearby petrol pump and managed to douse the flames, preventing a potential cylinder explosion that could have caused even greater damage.
